The Sacred Heart Cathedral is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu and is the main parish church of the diocese of the city.  Sacred Heart Cathedral is located close to the Museum of Islamic Civilization and just off the Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. Interesting features of the Sacred Heart Cathedral include a concrete bell tower measuring 40 meters / 130 feet, a cross-shaped baptismal pool and an onsite book shop. A large car park fronts the building, with plenty of spaces for visitors to use.
