Jackie Robinson became the first black man to play major league baseball in the twentieth century when he debuted with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. When Jackie was a little boy he moved to California.  In high school, Jackie was really good at sports. Jackie Robinson was born in the United States. Jackie was the youngest of the family.  Jackie helped the black people and the white people get along together. He broke the Major League Baseball’s color barrier.
